Okay! You've got five minutes to get dressed. What's your go-to outfit?
Depends on if it's the day or night. I think every woman in the world has to have a short black dress. That's what I always wear if I'm really rushing and I don't want to think. If you want to wear it during the day you can wear ballerina flats or sandals. And for the night you just put on some heels and and a necklace. That's kind of the statement dress of Chanel as well. But Chanel is put on a necklace and a little hat and that would be perfect for Chanel.
How would you say your work with Chanel has influenced your style?
With Chanel I go a little more outside my comfort zone. On the red carpet, I can be different women with every event and change my style and that's funny because at the end of the day, that's my work as an actress. I can play a bit more when I'm on the red carpet and Chanel's pushed my limits. In my personal life I am much more minimalist now because I've read the books and understand that is their philosophy. Simplicity is the base of everything. At the end of the day if you feel good about yourself, you don't need anything. You don't have to depend on the power of a dress to dress you up. You wear dress the dress, it's not the opposite. It's not only a designer, it's not only just fashion, it's a philosophy. It's a lifestyle.

Everyone talks about French girl style, but how would you describe Italian girl style?
It's hard to define one Italian style. That's always been our problem. When you go to Sicily it's easier to describe the girl in Sicily. We don't have a unique style like France or Spain or Germany or the UK, it's different everywhere you go. The style of the girl in Milan is really architectural and modern. In Naples it's a completely different style, it's more dark. I'm sure our style was more precise in the past in the '50s or '60s where everything was very Sophia Loren. It's weird because obviously outside of Italy you think of one country, but when you're in the country you know how different the country is from the north to the center to the south to the island. There are so many differences.
So do you think you have more French girl style?
I think I am a little bit of a mix between the French girl style and probably the style of the Italian in the 1950s. I have Italian vintage style mixed with Jane Birkin French girl style.
Last question! I read in an interview you did that you're obsessed with Sex and the City.
[Laughs] I always watch it when I accidentally find it on TV. I can't stop.
Whose style did you love the most?
I was super in love with Charlotte for so many years. I think I'm a perfect mix of the four of them, but I think my favorite one was Charlotte. She was naturally very beautiful. But I think they're so well-written and well done you can see yourself a little bit in every single one of them.
